Committee Meeting 21st January 1965
G3LTT House
The electric meters having been read at the club caused our electric bill to shoot up and will from now on be approx £1 per month.
New club premises were next discussed and various committee members aired their ideas - it was decided to wait till the General Meeting to see what ideas the club members had.
The financial year end and the A.G.M. should ideally coincide so it was decided to lay a motion before the General Meeting that in future the A.G.M. should be on the second Monday in January.
Mr Harrison then told the committee about a letter he had received from Mr Addison regarding the spending of club funds mainly on a flash unit. It was decided unanimously to ignore it completely because it was obviously sent to slur the Treasurers integrity and cause trouble.
Mr Gray then read out the letter he had received. The letter proported to come from the committee - no committee meeting had been held to discuss sending the letter. The letter it was decided was sent in good faith by the person concerned but the members hiding behind his signature would have been better advised in that their signatures should also have appeared.
Letters of Resignation were Received from The Chairman, The Treasurer, Mr Dawson, Mr Palfreyman and Miss Goode.
The meeting then closed with thanks to Mrs Gray for the excellent cofffee provided.
