Meeting opened at 20.30
Minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted.
Meeting commenced with a discussion on the Abbey Park Show. G3MYI offered to loan and operate his MKII TX on 160-80-20. The Chairman said he would bring his teleprinter to the show and discuss its operation to anyone who was interested. He would also construct a power supply for the teleprinter and hoped that he could show it operating before the end of the show.
New HQ was discussed again and once again no discussion was reached. It seems that no interest was taken in this respect but the Secretary promised to keep in touch with Dennis Ashton who was trying for a new HQ at Western Park.
Locks and keys for the club was again discussed and it was decided that it should be left to the Treasurer who had volunteered to obtain and issue a new set to the committee. The Secretary announced that he proposed to organise a rummage sale in order to increase the club funds. Volunteers were needed to help and the Secretary hoped that it would raise about £20.
A dinner and dance was talked about and decided to leave the arrangements to the Secretary.
The RAE and morse would be discussed at the next meeting more fully. Ron Hearsy offered to sell a lot of gear to the club for the junk sale a very modest price. This was accepted and hopes were high that we could at least double the amount when sold at the junk sale.
No decision was reached on club badges for members.
A 2 metre rig for the club is being constructed and should be on the air before long.
Business appertaining to all members and general activity followed and the meeting closed at 22.00
