The receipt of the new TS930 was acknowledged and it was agreed a letter of thanks should be sent to Lowe Electronics thanking them for the courteous and efficient Way they dealt with the purchase of the set
General disappointment was felt at the lack of use made of the facility offered to club members when a coach was provided to visit the Radio Exhibition at the N.E.C. Birmingham.
Following a visit by the rating officer it was noted that now we have the new building and car park, the rateable value has increased from £70 to £200.
Much discussion followed as to whither the VHF Field day should remain at the site near Hull or return to a spot near to Leicester, comments would be welcome from members who would be willing to participate.
Frank had stated that he had spent a great deal of time trying to interest the City Council in the activities of the Club, but had had very little success
