Minutes Of last meeting passed, Proposed by G7DPU Seconded by G4LRO.
Dave G7DPU asked about the replacement photo-copier, now been purchased, and we are awaiting the cheque from the insurance company for £400pds,
Chairman, Spoke to committee as regards lasped and non-members in the leicester area who are not members of LRS, if a letter can be perhaps sent out to all those who live in the Leicester district, to tell them about LRS and invite them to join the club Mike G4SJX to check on mailing lists.
Chairman told the committee on update as regards lease for the club premises, it was noted that the main building is not insured by the club, only the portacabin, also that the club have to pay 15% towards cost of maintenance towards upkeep of the lane, noted also that the LCC plans not up to date as regards LRS porta cabin and car park not shown On the plans, once lease is signed then LRS is liable for any outstanding rent for due until end Of lease, I.E, (if the club leaves before end of lease) . Under the new lease offer to LRS is that we cannot sub let to any third party (groups etc.). The premises working party to meet with LCC and report back to committee.
OHP bought by club for a £50 and old one offered to members for sale.
Laurence G7AYI noted that nobody yet been standing in for him to take membership/s chair says he will sit there next week/s!
Notice to be put up as regards STEEP stairs in main building (not to be fallen down or up!), ceiling in his room requires attention, club to contact landlord LCC.
Laurence G7AYI to purchase Smoke alarms (4) for the Club.
Chairman told committee about being aproached by RAYNET if they may hold meetings at the club, committee debated costs to club I. E. heating lighting, etc decided to Suggest £5 per meeting, (check. On lease first)
Dave G7DPU asked about electric costs to club, suggested energy saving bulbs, One (1) to be put into HF room and committee to monitor costs.
Contests budget committee decided not to make a budget for contests/events btt to try and keep costs as low as possible, Laurence G7AYI said that committee and all membership be involved in contests/events, membership are invited to take part in contests/events as much as possible.
Mike G4SJX told committee that not a lot off Camping equip may be available this yr for contests/events,
Roger G4LRO asked committee if via Bob Pearce V/president that the club send a wreath to president daughters funeral who as Sadly passed away, agreed.
Trophy shields now received at the club, but the G5UM Shield to be returned, as the Wording is in correct.
