COMMITTEE MEETING

The new extension was opened by Mrs. Joan Heathershaw, President of the RSGB on October 7th, 1985 the event was attended by many past members of the club.
Taff, the chairman gave thanks to all who assisted in the preparation of the new building, special thanks to go to the caterers, G4SBY and G4PDZ.
Tony reported that insurance had been arranged on the new building.
It was agreed a notice should be fixed at the entrance of the old building denoting 'Members Only' .
G3TQF Geoff was co-opted to the committee as function manager to organise future events and lectures
In future cups and trophies would not be presented to recipients, replicas would be awarded after token presentation.
£10 was subscribed by Mr. Howard (believed to be IRS oldest ex-member) letter of thanks sent to Mr. Howard.
Future projects for club to include new cupboards for the kitchen. After much discussion, a charge of ten pounds per night would be made to other amateur organisations a committee member to be present.
