Present: G4ITP Taff, G4PDZ Frank, G4IFB Gary, G400S John, G4LRO Roger, G4RLC Tom, G4KKS Mick, apologies from G4JDI Tony.
Frank reported that the plans had been passed by the City Engineers fully and by the Planning Department subject to a few landscape provisions of which (1) was to plant a double hedge on the south side (2) Apple trees to be kept (3) Surface of car park to be Grade One Sub Base.
Frank went on to say that he had contacted someone prepared to do the job at a fair price, the job had not been fully priced but would be less than £1000, Roger stated his disapproval at this statement and said £1000 was far to heavy for a private job.
After further discussion the committee agreed to delay decision for one week, all members were invited to obtain Written estimates for special meeting.
Frank went on to say that the new building had been ordered and the company gave an undertaking to erect during the week commencing 23rd September, 1985 the only thing in doubt was the colour of the external cladding, from five colours presented to the committee, Criggion Green was selected.
The date for the official opening was fixed as Monday 7th October, 1985, celebrated by a cheese and wine evening, all members and known veteran ex members will receive an official invitation, Mick to obtain a catering estimate for the evening.
Mick to obtain paint for batch of sixty chairs recently obtained.
