COMMITTEE MEETING NOVEMBER 19TH
Meeting opened at 8pm

Pete read the minutes from the last committee meeting and all was agreed a copy was signed and it will be put on board in lecture room,
Call signs were discussed and letters are to be drawn up
or maybe a visit by one of the club committee members to let them know the situation re Ofcom call signs should be held
by a club member,
Car park is working very well the skoda garage send there donation on time the care home at the back are now sending there donation but are to be reminded about the monday night rule as some monday nights are difficult to park as car park is full also very bad parking,
17th December Christmas party same format as last year as it worked so well £100 will be given to kerry and any payments after this will go into club funds.
A raffle will be drawn on the night a hand held radio and a hot spot will be the top prizes and all members are asked to donate some prizes,
Open meeting coming up so are we ready with up to date accounts and paper work and info about what we have done since the last open meeting,
Window for kitchen is on order just waiting for it to arrive
Tony was concerned about the shutter it is again getting harder and harder to use so it was decided to try and make repairs keep it going as long as we can and do some fund raising for a new one.
On going repairs to club Antennas and new cabling this is another good job done thanks to all that have given time to help,
Kitchen work still ongoing and hoping to get some more jobs done including fitting the window before Christmas.
It was put to the committee that the clubs radio is missing the dvs6 digital voice control and the narrow cw filter
the voice control is about £43 and the cw filter is about £134 so more fund raising for these items.
Alex is going to service the winch as it is getting very stiff.
Alex is concerned we not getting new members or young members as membership dwindling, What can we do about this ideas please.
Tony asked about hot water heater in kitchen it was decided to leave it until after the frosts and cold weather season,
Floor covering is also to be left until the other work is completed so it is not damaged.
Remote sdr station was again talked about and is to be looked into as it could be set up on the web page and only members would be able to access it it seems a good idea for all members that do not have a working station at there homes.
