Minutes of the meeting in 26-February-1968 were read.
The Treasurer explained that Finances were in a very pirilous state and that if the revenue did not improve, the society could easily become bankrupt. Various ideas were discussed about ways to raise revenue without raising subscriptions.
The Secretary informed the committee that he had been approached personally by Mr Norman Booth and asked if the society would be interested in acquiring a tent from him for use on field days. The committee instructed the Treasurer to write to Mr Booth and thank him for his generous offer and explain that at present the society could not acquire this item due to other commitments.
The committee expressed disappointment that the Newsletter was so slow to be published and agreed that enquiries should be made of the Editor as to the next date of publication. The Editor informed the committee that it would be published in approximately three weeks time.
It was decided that the R.S.G.B. and Short Wave Magazine should be informed of the societies participation in "Leisure 68" and National Field Day. The Secretary was asked to write to these organisations and inform them.
